Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

This past Saturday we went to the zoo. This was Noah's 3rd visit to the zoo, but the first visit that he really interacted with the animals. He loved the animals he could actually touch or at least get up to the glass to take a closer look. His favorite animal was the white tiger. The tiger paced back and forth in front of the glass, so Noah got an extra special peak. The birds on the other hand were a different story all together...

Clay bought a bird seed stick so that Noah could feed the birds. However, the birds got a little too anxious and went crazy over Noah's bird seed. They swarmed him and one even scratched him! Needless to say, Noah is kind of wary of birds these days.
This picture is the recovery effort by Clay. He took over the bird feeding after the attack of the birds!
Noah enjoying his picnic lunch
He ate almost all the grapes and strawberries we brought for us to share. His appetite is back with full force :)
Noah LOVED this white tiger. He was quite entertaining.
Noah may have loved the animals, but his favorite part of the zoo trip was washing and drying his hands after petting the animals. What a crazy boy!

Noah's Visitors

Grammie, Pops, Uncle Landon, Kaykie, and Carson came for a visit last weekend. We had so much fun shopping, eating (of course!), and playing a memorable game of Beyond Balderdash.
We loved getting to see Carson crawl all over the house and get into the same cabinets that Noah loves! We missed Uncle Jake and look forward to seeing him next time. We can't wait to see all of them again at the end of March!

sweet carson found noah's bookshelf and had fun pulling all the books off :)

yea for kitchen cabinets!

Noah's Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
Today was a really fun day at the Iles' house. Clay was so sweet and made us heart-shaped chocolate-chipped pancakes for breakfast. What a delicious way to start the day!
Noah went to school and got some Valentine treats from his teachers. He even made us a sweet Valentine with his beautiful handprints on it!
We enjoyed our day with Noah. He is such a joy to celebrate with.
Clay and I are looking forward to date night tomorrow night!!

clay got me a cookie cake for Valentine's Day- so sweet!

as soon as Noah opened these, he said "ball, ball"

Grumpy Noah :(

Noah had a fun-filled day of grocery shopping with mom and eating lunch at Chick-Fil-A. However, after his afternoon nap he woke up quite grumpy. A snack didn't help and I had to cook dinner, so Noah got his pacie (which is a no-no during the day), a blanket and he lay on the couch watching PBS for a whole 15 minutes! This may seem trivial, but to a mom of a very active 18-month-old this is huge. He has never sat still anywhere, nor watched TV for any amount of time. After a little break he was up again getting into cabinets and being right at my feet while I cooked. While I was glad to see him settle down, I was so glad to see him back to his normal self.

Noah's Surprise

Noah would like to announce that he is going to have a little....... Brother!!
I am due July 7th!! We are all super excited about adding another little boy to our family. As soon as we found out the gender, we rushed to Target to get something for the new baby. Noah is holding up his soon-to-be little brother's onesie. Of course we couldn't go and get the new baby something without getting Noah a treat. Noah picked out a Cookie Monster backpack and sippy cup from the Dollar Spot at Target!
We are so proud of our big boy Noah and are looking forward to our new baby boy arriving in the summer!
